ACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE

1. 155 books of class I (1)-class X (10) has been converted to multimedia books of DAISY standard which has further be

converted into DAISY full text full audio text books, Digital Braille and accessible e-books from the single source file of

DAISY format. A process has been initiated for developing and producing the Full text-full audio multimedia books,

Braille books accessible e-books etc. through the use of DAISY 2. Around 100,000 students with visual disability, print

disability and learning disability and information disadvantaged group can improve their reading score. The literacy level

of the students with print disability and learning disability will be improved also facilitated the implementation of

inclusive education initiative. 3. Multi-media digital books for class I to class-X are available through JATIYO E-

Tothyakosh to make them available to the children with print disability and information disadvantaged groups.

Availability of the contents in accessible format will make the students with visual disability, print disability and learning

disability confident, self–dependant and literate.

UTLOOK

YPSA continues to work with the A2I in the Prime Minister's Office, as well as the DAISY Consortium, and other

organizations such as GAATES, to continue to find funding that enables YPSA to continue to expand the amount of

materials available in accessible formats for print disabled persons in Bangladesh. YPSA is trying to establish a national

online accessible library in Bangladesh.
