2. After completing basic computer and Internet skills, the project divides the programme into four phases; two are
complete and two are still pending.
3. Training is conducted at the Ta’izz governorate, and it is the first programme targeting the deaf in Yemen and the
Arab world that trains people in E-commerce and E-marketing.
OUTLOOK
This programme can be conducted easily in any country. It is a chance to invite the deaf to approach the virtual world in
exactly the same way as non-deaf people do. The programme does not cost much to conduct, and it is has the lowest
costs of the several programmes we have conducted within the Society. There are a great number of deaf people
around the world and they use the Internet in a general way. They deserve a chance to get the necessary training in
marketing, to communicate securely, and to work just like people without disabilities.
