2011-2013: 14 Caregivers trained, 2014: 54 Caregivers trained, 2015: 212 Caregivers trained by July 2015

2011-2013: 114 Children benefit from trained caregivers, 2014: estimates over 184 children benefit from trained
caregivers, 2015: 768 children by July benefit from attending a centre with trained caregivers.
 Number of centres/communities/areas worked in:
2011-2013: Three centres trained as part of establishing programme and pilot study, 2014: 26 centres trained in
different areas in Western Cape Province, 2015: 26 Centres successfully completed training by July 2015,
approximately 64 more centres engaged and planned to receive training by end of 2015.
OUTLOOK
One of the Ndinogona Kits was taken to Ethiopia in 2015 and they are awaiting feedback from caregivers there.
From feedback and experiences working in many centres in different settings, a process of adjusting the training
programme and manual for a second edition print was put underway in late July 2015.
The second edition Ndinogona manual will have an expanded section on home-made toys, adjustments to activities
based on user input, and will be translated into both Afrikaans and Xhosa (home language to a large demographic of
caregivers and parents in South Africa).
