FACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE
1. From 2010 to 2013 227 people with disabilities benefited from the project, 500 home visits were done and 19
guidance meetings with persons with disabilities and their families
2. 17 courses of vocational training and 6 courses of skills and language training, 12 courses on small business
management and development were held and three micro-loans were given to launch business ideas
3. Between 2010 and 2013, the project worked together with 12 vocational institutions, providing capacity building
for 8 vocational centers and institutions and 280 staff members, 24 awareness activities with 443 students and
worked together with five vocational centers to make adaptions at their centers to increase accessibility
4. In 2014 the project conducted 381 individual assessments with people with disabilities in Bekaa and 101 people
with disabilities completed six vocational courses or got psychosocial support. Two microcredit organizations
incorporated the developed inclusive criteria and 37 employees in three municipalities started training on inclusive
local policies. Furthermore 161 persons with disabilities and families participated in 16 guidance meetings, two new
vocational schools made accessible adaptions and 17 vocational schools build up capacities
OUTLOOK
The project says that its holistic practices can be easily adopted by other organizations and countries.
