FACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE
1. 4,400 people completed the course since the establishment of the project. The program graduates reached out to
approximately 10,000 additional people. Approximately 880 courses were provided up to date. 30 deaf program
instructors are employed by the project.
2. The income of the project is 21,500 Euro since the project was adopted by Access Israel.
3. The expenses of the project are kept low leveraging on facilities and connections by Access Israel.
4. This past year although participants had to start paying for the course the demand has continued to raise and
hundreds of new participants joined the program.
5. This past July 2015 - 1,400 students participant were exposed to the program in summer camp
OUTLOOK
The model is based on a convenient, clear and easy to learn course that can be adopted and implemented easily and at
minimal cost in other countries and organizations that aim to open communication channels between people with
disabilities and able-bodied people. Due to increasing demand for advanced courses, we are in the process of expanding
the project by providing nationwide courses in various levels, and by creating additional employment opportunities for
the deaf. Access Israel and this popular project also fights stereotypes and helps to overcome shared difficulties of
people with various disabilities.
