ACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE

1)

There are 5 mixed teams (in Tbilisi and 4 Samtskhe-Javakheti). Each team has 2 youngsters with disabilities + 8

without.

2)

The teams take part in the 2-day Sports and Arts Festival in Aspindza with an audience of approx. 500 attendees per

day. A further 50 teenagers and youngsters with intellectual disabilities will participate in sporting activities during

the Festival, together with 150 youngsters without disabilities.

3)

This methodology – Rugby as tool for inclusion - has been replicated at the Saint Petersburg Centre “Anton tut

ruadom" (Anton is right here) which aims at the social rehabilitation, education and provision of creative and

therapeutic activity for more than 40 adults with autism

UTLOOK

From the next year, we plan widen our programme to include other multi ethnic regions such as Kvemo Kartli and

Imereti regions. Mixed rugby teams (youngsters with disability and without disability) will be formed there. Having

already shared our methodology with Russian specialists at the St. Petersburg Centre mentioned previously, we plan to

work with the Moscow Centre for Curative Pedagogic in 2016.
