MISSION

Le Centre de la Gabrielle is a private non-profit organization founded by the French federation of mutual companies for

civil servants, MFPass (Mutualité Fonction Publique Action Santé Social). Founded in 1972 as an MFPass social initiative,

le Centre de la Gabrielle is today an organization that assists 400 children and adults with development and learning

disabilities. Le Centre de la Gabrielle aims at developing new solutions in order to provide social inclusion for the target

group. It manages, among other projects, a project for the accreditation of work experience, called

CAP VAE

.

A person with intellectual disabilities and three years of professional experience can ask for a CAP VAE certification (a

degree/diploma), which makes it easier for them to be hired by a company.

The personal support offered includes:

Advanced and individualized coaching during the process in order to get certification.

Professional assistance in facilitating the integration of the individual into a company by offering employment

support through individual and/or collective workshops.

CAP VAE accompanies individuals during their certification process and application for employment.

T

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED

:

CAP VAE offers instruction and methodology that can adapted to the needs of the individual. Appropriate and

understandable tools (easy-to-read) were created for both CAP VAE personnel and the disabled persons. The objective

is to avoid putting an individual in a position of difficulty or potential failure.

The support offered has different stages:

Informational: the initial meeting with candidates.

Positioning: evaluation of the willingness of the candidates to engage in the process and their capacity to do so

(regarding expectations of the targeted certifications).

Training: with professional supervisors regarding the various job requisites in order to provide the best possible

support. In addition, training in job interview sessions and assistance in CV writing is provided.

Support is increased when necessary based on the results of a mid-term evaluation.

White Jury: This is training that is provided for an actual validation session.
