MISSION
Adolescents with disabilities face many difficulties when it comes to finding an apprenticeship. Some have lacking skills
in spelling or mathematics or are not mature enough to start regular work. However, work is a main factor for social
inclusion. For this reason, the Caritas provides work places in cooperation with a bakery - a regular profit organization.
The adolescents take part in a Vocational Training at the bakery and exams, with which they have access to working life.
Because of the training, their chances of obtaining a regular job and living independently are increased.

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
The Vocational Training is conducted in a bakery on the countryside. Additionally the Caritas offers mentoring and
support. The adolescents are also encouraged to be self-advocates and express their wishes and concerns to the
manager of the bakery. The cooperation of a NGO with a profit organization is unique and profits both sides. The project
partner produces only biological goods and emphasizes sustainability. Being responsible and protecting, the
environment is one of the values, which is also taught within the training.
