VERALL GOAL

/

MISSION

The main objective of the project is to help and educate people with disabilities to be qualified assistants in social care.

Furthermore it is also possible to gain the certificate for the professional home helper under certain requirements. In

addition, it is important to supervise the internships during the training and prepare the people for a possible career in

that field – and it is important to sensitize health and social facilities to hire persons with disabilities in their companies.

T

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED

Within the framework of the EU project INVESTT the idea, to educate people with disabilities in the social care sector,

was created. This should not happen, as in other locations in Austria, in an integrated form but inclusive. This means

that the institute integrates training for professional-social cares in their education offer but the class itself is inclusive.

The access to training skilled social care is technically open to everyone under the access conditions (minimum age of 19

years, German Diploma B1).

The training lasts two years and comprises a total of 1600 hours, with 960 hours theory and 640 hours of internship.

Classes are always held in team teaching, specialization trainings are offered to help to maintain the learning outcomes

and the trainees are accompanied during the placement intensively by the social instructor of the institution and a

teacher from the school.
