675 children with a severe and mild handicap are identified and 604 children with disabilities were consulted in

55 primary schools of the municipality of Garango are covered for the identification of children with disabilities.

In 2014, 350 teachers were trained in special education for children with disabilities

UTLOOK
The innovative approach of inclusive education to systematically engage and network with other stakeholders in the
communities, has been shared with other projects and can be duplicated within other regions in Burkina Faso,
respectively other national contexts. The quality of inclusive education will be further improved; a consolidation process
between 2016 and 2018 will be conducted to strengthen the local ownership.
